Tips to Improve Phone Battery Life
Wi-Fi: If you are not using Wi-Fi, turn it off. You can
switch off Wi-Fi by pulling down the notifications and
settings screen and touching the Wi-Fi icon.
Switch Off Bluetooth: if you are not using any
devices. In the notification and settings screen.
Use Airplane Mode When There is No Coverage: In
normal mode, your phone keeps looking for a cellular
network. If there is no coverage or little coverage, your
phone is unnecessarily wasting power by looking for
signal. Switching to Airplane Mode can help save
battery, but you cannot make/receive any calls.
Reduce Brightness: To dim the display, go to
Settings > Brightness and drag the slider.
Lock Your Phone: when you are not using it.
Auto-Lock: Set the Auto-Lock period to 1 minute –
Change this under Settings > Lock screen > Lock
automatically. This will prevent you from leaving your
phone on for longer than necessary.
Limit Open Apps: Close Apps that are running in the
background. To do this, click and hold Home
button. Swipe left or right to close open apps.
Special Samsung features: Your Samsung phone
has multiple special features like Smart Stay, Air View,
Smart Pause, Smart Scroll, etc. Although these are
very cool features, most of them use extra power and
will drain your battery faster. Make sure you only
activate the ones you really need.
