In the 5GHz frequency range, the DI-764 delivers media
rich content such as digital images, videos, and MP3 files
much faster than most wireless networks. In the 2.4GHz
frequency, transfer rates with standard 802.11b devices is
up to 20% faster. With D-Link AirPlus
™
products, rates
can go up to 22Mbps .
The DI-764, the first of a new breed of high-performance
multimode wireless routers, with its built-in 4-port switch
and simultaneous support for both 802.11a and 802.11b
wireless devices, enables both wired and wireless users to
connect to the same network - expanding network
bandwidth now and for the future.
The DI-764 is fully compatible with the IEEE 802.11a and
802.11b standards making it interoperable with existing
802.11a and 802.11b devices and networks.
The DI-764 supports the highest available level of WEP
encryption at 256-bit for 802.11b devices, as well as up to
152-bit WEP with Dynamic Keying with 802.11a devices.
The Web-based user interface features a number of
advanced network management features including:
Easily applied content filtering based on MAC Address, IP
Address, URL and/or Domain Name.
These filters can also be scheduled to be active on certain
days or for a duration of hours or minutes.
NAT helps to prevent outside intruders from gaining access
to your private network.
Supports multiple and concurrent IPSec and PPTP sessions,
so multiple users behind the DI-764 can access corporate
networks through various VPN clients more securely.
With its web-based configuration software, you can be up
and running with the DI-764 in just a few clicks of your
mouse.
