Removal and Cleaning of the
Air Filters
11the air filters become
clogged w_th dust/dirt, air flow
is restricted ;and reduces pep
fotmance (efficiency),
Removing the Filters;
In order to access the HEPA
type filter (fi#er A Fig IV) and
the ;air int;ake filter (filter B Fig
N) the front grill will have to be
removed (Fig M),
la) To remove the Hepa type
filter, pull the filter handle
outward,
lb) To remove the air intake
filter: Simply pu|l the filter
handle upwards and pulI
out the filter
WARNING - Do not attempt
to clean the boiler chamber
immediately after operating
the un'ffin Flttmidifiea_ion
mode,
1. Open the top cover of the
unit, and remove the inter-
nal tank with care.
2. Remove the Boiler cover
and pullout the drain plug
(Fig O) to allow any stand-
ing water to evacuate the
chamber.
3. Clean lheboiler chamber
with a damp cloth.
Filter;
1) DusttDirt c_ in the air
intake filter cart be _ by
,.racuum d_snlngthe soi_edareas.
2) Th_ eir intake filter can
also be washed in lukewarm
soapy water whih) rubbing it
lightly with a brush. A mild
detergent (d_shwashing soap)
is recommended,
3) Rinse the air intake filter
well usieg clean water, Allow
time to dry before reinstalling
into the unit,
4) Replace the air intake
filter before resuming use.
IMPORTANT: Do n_ attempt
to clean or wash the HEPA
type filter. It must be replaced
every 6 months (depending on
usage), "ff the"Clean Air purifica-
lion"loon (pg. 7) is displayed:Press
Ibe q3mer' and 'Ir_ase' button

for3 seconds to resume normal
opera,on.
Place a drip _ay beneath
_le _ drain and remove
the small drain cap and plug
located at _e rear oithe unit
(FigP) to dra_nout the remain
ing water insidethe appl_ce.
5. Atter completely drain
ing the water from the unit
replace the boiler chamber
p_ug, drain plug and cap,
6, Replace th_ Boiler
cover and internal water
tank,
