Full-sized MD Recorder for Free-Style Digital Entertainment
DMD-1000
MiniDisc Recorder
High-Precision ADVANCED Super Linear
Converter
The DMD-1000 has been equipped with DENON's
ADVANCED Super Linear Converter (ASLC) - a high accura-
cy D/A conversion system for maximum low level resolution
and widest dynamic range. Found on Denon CD players,
ASLC provides superb transparency and precise delineation
of low level musical information.
Enhanced Dual-bit DELTA SIGMA 20-bit A/D
Converter
The DMD-1000 uses a 64-times oversampling, enhanced
Dual-bit Delta Sigma 20-bit A/D converter that features sub-
stantially improved dynamic range compared to the conven-
tional 16 bit A/D converters used in other digital recorders for
maximum signal to noise ratio.
A Full Suite of MD Editing Functions
DIVIDE, COMBINE, MOVE, ERASE, DISC NAME
ERASE, ALL NAME ERASE & UNDO
PROGRAM MOVE
This function lets you move the recorded tracks by program.
REHEARSAL
This function lets you check editing in advance.
DISC RECOVERY
There are times when the recording time limit is reached
even though the full disc capacity has not been used. Such
recording time differences occur between a blank disc and
discs that have been edited frequently. The total recordable
time continues to decrease and it is no longer possible to
completely fill the disc. The Disc Recovery function auto
matically improves this situation so that most of the original
recording time can be restored.
Auto REC Pause for Speedy Recording
Operation
This function automatically recognizes a blank disc and sets
the DMD-1000 in REC Pause (standby) mode. Simply insert
a blank disc, and the recording operation can be performed
immediately.
A Full Array of Input/Output Terminals
The DMD-1000's input terminals include two optical digital,
one coaxial digital, and one analog input pair. The output ter-
minals consist of one optical digital and one analog output
pair.
