Using the jack
Q
Raising the vehicle
Follow these steps:
j
Place one of the tube sections with a locating slot

on to the
release valve

and turn it in the direction (see Fig. A). This
closes the release valve.
j
Now assemble the three-part pumping lever

. Turn each tube
section

direction to fi x it in place.
j
Place the hydraulic vehicle jack under one of the lifting positions as
shown in the owner’s manual supplied by the vehicle manufacturer.
j
Screw out the extension screw

in the direction until the sad-
dle comes into contact with the underside of the vehicle.
j Insert the pump piston lever

into the lever holder fi xture

Insert the notch of the pipe part into the anti-twist device of the lever
holder fi xture

Now raise the car until the chassis stands can be placed beneath
the car.
j Allow the vehicle to come down on to the axle stands by slowly
opening the release valve

by turning it in the direction.

Lowering the vehicle
WARNING!
DANGER TO LIFE! Check that no person or
object is under the vehicle before you lower it.
Follow these steps:
j
First raise the vehicle slightly in order to be able to remove the
axle stands.
J Do not allow the hydraulic vehicle jack to be used by uninstructed
or inexperienced persons.
J Before using the hydraulic vehicle jack take precautions to prevent
the vehicle from rolling away. Put the handbrake on, place the vehicle
in gear (with automatic gearboxes set to “P”) and chock the wheels.
J Even with precautions in place always remain alert and make a
visual check that the saddle

is fi rmly seated against the vehicle
jacking point.
J Check that no person or object is under the vehicle before you
lower it.
J Lower the vehicle slowly.
J Check that all parts have been assembled and fi tted properly and
are undamaged.
J Before each use check that the hydraulic vehicle jack is working
properly. Check the screws and valves of the hydraulic vehicle jack
for correct seating and look out for hydraulic oil leaks in particular.
J Never use the hydraulic vehicle jack for moving or loading a vehicle.
Never use it to lift a whole vehicle completely off the ground.
J Make sure that no-one – especially a child – is in the
vehicle and that everyone is kept at an adequate distance
away from the vehicle when the hydraulic vehicle jack is
in use.
J Never change the setting of the safety valve

J Make sure that no petrol, battery acid or any other dangerous
substance can fl ow out of the vehicle when the vehicle is being lifted.

If the required force exceeds 400 N, these forces must be diminished
by enlisting additional people.
Note: Close the lowering valve after every use!
Note: Always store the hydraulic car jack in a vertical position! This
prevents oil from leaking out.
Do not spill any oil.

Intended use:
The hydraulic car jack is designed for lifting and lowering cars. It is for-
bidden to lift people with this appliance.
Restrictions on use:
Other uses of or changes to the hydraulic car jack, as mentioned before,
are not as intended and could lead to risks such as injuries and damage.
The manufacturer does not assume any liability for damage arising
from improper use.
The product is only intended for private and not for commercial use.
The following is / are forbidden:
- Operation under diffi cult conditions
- Operation that is subject to special provisions
- The handling of loads whose properties could lead to dangerous
situations
- Dangers that arise during dismantling
- Direct contact with food
- Operation on ocean-going vessels

WARNING!
DANGER! Follow the instructions below
to avoid the threat of loss of life, injury, or damage to
the product etc.
J Always use axle stands and wheel chocks in addition to your hy-
draulic vehicle jack. Never work under a raised vehicle unless you
have taken additional safety precautions. This is intended to prevent
the vehicle from rolling away, sliding off or overturning the jack.
J Use the product on a solid, level surface only. Using the product
on an unstable or uneven surface – such as a gravel surface –
may lead to the load slipping.
J Ensure that you never exceed the allowable (rated) load capacity.
J The person operating the jack must observe the jack and the load
during all movements.
J Never work under the raised load if it has not been made secure
by suitable means.
