S-4000M REAC Merge Unit
Product Positioning Statement
The S-4000M enables inputs from up to four
Digital Snake units to be merged into a single
REAC stream providing the ability to distribute
multiple input/output units around a location,
venue or stage for fl exible point-to-point digital
snake or V-Mixing System confi gurations.
The S-4000M supplies embedded power over
Ethernet to supported REAC devices (e.g.,
S-0808) and enables input management through
an auto mapping function, computer running RSC
software or any RSS V-Mixer digital console.
The S-4000M is perfect for new installations
and current customers of the V-Mixing System
that require greater fl exibility in placement of
digital snake heads supporting multiple stage
confi gurations.
Applications
Outdoor Festival/Live Concert
Using the S-4000M in combination with S-0808, S-1608 and or S-4000S each band or musical group
can have their own stage inputs preset and then quickly recalled into the V-Mixer console or FOH Digital
Snake unit enabling quick set changes. The S-4000M REAC Merge Unit allows for high input count,
fl exible and confi gurable audio on stage and can also supply power over Ethernet to the S-0808 stage
boxes.
Worship
Used in conjunction with RSS Digital Snakes, the S-4000M provides fl exibility for a variety of stage
setups for houses of worship. The S-4000M provides a way to merge up to four REAC Digital Snake
Units into one 40 x 40 REAC stream. Multiple digital snake units can be strategically placed near drum
riser, keyboards, background vocal, and instruments or connected through fl oor pockets on the stage
that can be merged using the S-4000M.
Mobile Broadcast
Use up to four S-0808s’ in combination with the S-4000M REAC Merge Unit to distribute I/O around a
stage. Put an S-0808 on the drum riser, another by keyboards, another with guitars and another with
background vocals. Allows fl exible stage confi gurations as well as provides power to each S-0808 stage
boxes.
