Thermometer from RadioShack. Please read this user’s
guide before installing, setting up, and using your new
thermometer.

Install batteries
The thermometer requires 2 AA
batteries and the sensor requires
2 AAA batteries (none supplied)
for power.
1. Remove the battery covers.
2. Place batteries in the sensor,
following the polarity symbols
(+ and –) marked inside.
3. Place batteries in the thermometer,
following the polarity symbols
(+ and –) marked inside.
4. Press the RESET button on both
units.
ZWNote: For best results, always
install batteries in the remote sensor first, then in the
thermometer.
Battery Notes
• Replace batteries when the battery icon appears or the
display dims.
• Dispose of batteries promptly and properly. Do not
burn or bury them.

Mount your thermometer
Place the sensor out of direct sunlight and moisture, and
no more than 100 feet (30.5 meters) from the thermometer.
Place it facing the thermometer with few obstructions, and
away from metallic and electronic objects.
On flat surfaces
Place the thermometer indoors and the remote sensor
outdoors. Place them on flat surfaces using their
respective stands (included).
On the wall
1. Select an indoor wall for the thermometer and an
outdoor wall for the remote sensor.
2. Remove the stands from the thermometer and
remote sensor.
3. Drill a hole in the wall.
4. Thread a screw (not supplied) into the hole and let it
extend about v in. (0.48 cm) from the wall.
5. Fit the head of the screw into the keyhole slot.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.
• Do not mix batteries of different types, capacities, or
chemistry.
• If you do not plan to use the thermometer for a
month or more, remove the battery. Batteries can leak
chemicals that can damage electronic parts.
Set your thermometer
1. Select the temperature format with the ˚C/˚F switch
inside the battery compartment.
2. Place the sensor near the thermometer.
3. Press SEARCH on the thermometer to search for the
sensor. The reception icon blinks on the thermometer
for about 4 minutes.
4. Close the battery cover when batteries are installed,
and setup is complete.
The red LED on the sensor flashes when it transmits an
RF signal to the receiver.
Use Your Thermometer
The thermometer displays the current, minimum, and
maximum temperatures collected by the sensor and
thermometer. Outdoor data is collected and displayed
every 40 seconds and indoor data is collected and
displayed every 10 seconds.
• Press MEMORY to
toggle between the
current, maximum (MAX)
and minimum (MIN)
temperatures.
• To clear the records,
hold down MEMORY
until a beep sounds. The
memory is cleared.
• If you are using more
than one sensor, press
CHANNEL to select a
specific channel.
Temperature Trend
The thermometer can track
temperature changes. The
trend line shows the direction
of the temperature change.
