WARNING:

Before using charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings
in this manual, on charger, battery, and product using battery to
prevent misuse of the products and possible injury or damage.
CAUTION:
To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the charger
and battery, charge only lithium-ion rechargeable batteries as
specifically designated on your charger. Other types of batteries
may burst, causing personal injury or damage.
Battery Pack: AP4001
Charger: AP4700
Do not use charger outdoors or expose to wet or damp
conditions. Water entering charger will increase the risk of electric
shock.
Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by the battery
charger manufacturer may result in a risk of fire, electric shock,
or injury to persons. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.
Keep charger from heat to prevent damage to housing or
internal parts.
Do not let gasoline, oils, petroleum-based products, etc. come
in contact with plastic parts. They contain chemicals that can
damage, weaken, or destroy plastic.
An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely
necessary. Use of improper extension cord could result in a risk
of fire and electric shock. If extension cord must be used, make
sure:
a. That pins on plug of extension cord are the same number, size
and shape as those of plug on charger.
b. That extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical
condition; and
c. That wire size is large enough for AC ampere rating of charger
as specified below:

Do not operate charger with a damaged plug, which could cause
shorting and electric shock.
Do not operate charger if it has received a sharp blow, been
dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way.
Do not disassemble charger. Incorrect reassembly may result in
a risk of electric shock or fire.
Unplug charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance
or cleaning to reduce the risk of electric shock.
Disconnect charger from the power supply when not in use.
This will reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the charger
if metal items should fall into the opening. It also will help prevent
damage to the charger during a power surge.
Risk of electric shock. Do not touch uninsulated portion of output
connector or uninsulated battery terminal.
Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them
to instruct others who may use this tool. If you loan someone this
tool, loan them these instructions also.

UNPACKING
This product has been shipped completely assembled.
Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box.
Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included.
WARNING:
Do not use this product if it is not completely assembled or if
any parts appear to be missing or damaged. Use of a product
that is not properly and completely assembled could result in
serious personal injury.
Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or
damage occurred during shipping.

WARNING:
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields
during power tool operation or when blowing dust. If operation
is dusty, also wear a dust mask.
WARNING:

pack from the product when cleaning or performing any
maintenance.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are
susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents
and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove
dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based
products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts.
Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may
result in serious personal injury.
BATTERIES
This charger will accept Ryobi 4 V lithium-ion batteries. Length of
service from each charging will depend on the type of work you
are doing.
Lithium-ion batteries have been designed to provide maximum
trouble-free life. However, like all batteries, they will eventually wear
out. Do not disassemble battery pack and attempt to replace the
batteries. Handling of these batteries, especially when wearing
rings and jewelry, could result in a serious burn.
To obtain the longest possible battery life, we suggest the
following:
Remove the battery pack from the charger once it is fully charged
and ready for use.
For battery pack storage longer than 30 days:
Store the battery pack where the temperature is below 80°F and
away from moisture.
Store battery packs in a 30%-50% charged condition.
Every six months of storage, charge the pack as normal.
BATTERY PACK REMOVAL AND PREPARATION
FOR RECYCLING
WARNING:
Upon removal, cover the battery pack’s terminals with heavy-duty
adhesive tape. Do not attempt to destroy or disassemble battery
pack or remove any of its components. Lithium-ion batteries
must be recycled or disposed of properly. Also, never touch both
terminals with metal objects and/or body parts as short circuit
may result. Keep away from children. Failure to comply with these
warnings could result in fire and/or serious injury.

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY AND 90 DAY EXCHANGE POLICY
90-DAY EXCHANGE POLICY: During the first 90 days after date of pur-
chasing this product, you may either request service under this warranty
or you may exchange it by returning it with proof of purchase and all
original equipment packaged with the original product to the dealer from
which it was purchased. The replacement product will be covered by the
limited warranty for the balance of the two year period from the date of
the original purchase.
LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY. This product is warranted against all
defects in workmanship or materials for a period of two years from the date
of purchase. The warranty on any accessories for this product, excluding
batteries, is limited to 90 days from the date the accessory is purchased.
To obtain warranty service, call Customer Service at 1-800-525-2579 for
warranty return instructions. The product must be properly packaged and
returned with all equipment that was included with the original product,.
When you request warranty service, you must also present proof of purchase
documentation, which includes the date of purchase (for example, a receipt
or a bill of sale). Defective products returned within the warranty period
will be repaired or replaced, at our option, free of charge, within ninety (90)
days or less. The cost of shipping the product to us is your responsibility.
This warranty only covers defects arising under normal usage and does
not cover any malfunction, failure or defects resulting from misuse, abuse,
neglect, alteration, modification or unauthorized repairs. It applies only to
the original purchaser at retail, and may not be transferred. One World
Technologies, Inc. makes no warranties, representations or promises as
to the quality or performance of this product other than those specifically
stated in this warranty. Any implied warranties granted under state law,
including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose,
are limited to two years from the date of purchase. One World Technologies,
Inc. is not responsible for direct, indirect, or incidental damages Some
states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or
the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so
the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty
gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which
vary from state to state.
WARNING:
Do not attempt to modify this product or create accessories not
recommended for use with this product. Any such alteration or
modification is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition
leading to possible serious personal injury.

Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to

by the manufacturer of this product. The use of attachments or

CAUTION:
If at any point during the charging process none of the LEDs
are lit, remove the battery pack from the charger to avoid
damaging the product. DO NOT insert another battery. Return
the charger and battery to your nearest service center for
service or replacement.
CHARGING A BATTERY PACK
See Figure 1.
If the charger does not charge the battery pack under normal
circumstances, return both the battery pack and charger to your
nearest Authorized Service Center for electrical check.
Use battery pack only with the recommended charger.
Unfold electric prongs.
Connect the charger to the power supply. Make sure the power
supply is normal household voltage, 120 volts, AC only, 60 Hz.
Insert the battery pack into the charger. Make sure the raised rib
on the battery pack aligns with the groove in the charger. Press
down on the battery pack to be sure contacts on the battery
pack engage properly with contacts in the charger.
Do not place the charger and battery pack in an area of extreme
heat or cold. They will work best at normal room temperature.
NOTE: The charger and battery pack should be placed in a location
where the temperature is more than 50°F but less than 94°F.
The battery pack will become slightly warm to the touch while
charging. This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
After charging is complete, the LEDs will remain on until
the battery pack is removed from the charger or charger is
disconnected from the power supply.
When batteries become fully charged, unplug the charger from
the power supply and remove the battery pack from the charger.
NOTE: The electric prongs should be folded down when not in
use.
CHARGING A HOT BATTERY PACK
If the battery pack is above normal temperature range, the bottom
and center LEDs will flash. When the battery pack cools down
to approximately 131°F, the charger will automatically begin fast
charge mode.
CHARGING A COOL BATTERY PACK
If the battery pack is below normal temperature range, the bottom
and center LEDs will flash. When the battery warms to a temperature
of more than 32°F, the charger will automatically begin charge
mode.
COLD WEATHER OPERATION
The lithium-ion battery pack can be used in temperatures down
to -4°F. Put the battery pack in a product and use the product in
a light duty application. After about a minute, the pack will have
warmed up and begin operating normally.

ATTENTION :
Si, à tout moment pendant le processus de charge, aucun
témoin DEL n’est allumé, retirer le piles du chargeur pour éviter
d’endommager le produit. NE PAS insérer un autre piles. Confier
le pile et le chargeur au centre de réparations le plus proche pour
vérification ou remplacement.
POUR CHARGER

Si les bloc-piles ne se rechargent pas dans des conditions normales,
les retourner, ainsi que le chargeur et le stand au centre de réparations
agréé le plus proche pour une vérification électrique.
Ne recharger le blocs-piles qu’avec l’appareil recommandé.
Déplier broches electrique.
Brancher le chargeur sur une prise secteur. S’assurer que
l’alimentation est de 120 V, c.a. (courant résidentiel standard),
60 Hz.
S’assurer que ses deux loquets latéraux s’engagent correctement
et vérifier que le piles est solidement assujetti avant d’utiliser
l’chargeur.
Aligner la nervure de piles sur la rainure du chargeur et insérer le
piles dans le chargeur.
Appuyer sur le piles pour assurer que ses contacts s’engagent
correctement sur ceux du chargeur.
Ne pas placer le chargeur dans un endroit exposé à des températures
extrêmes (chaudes ou froides). Il fonctionne le mieux à température
ambiante.
NOTE : Le chargeur et le piles doivent être rangés dans un local où
la température est de 35 à 10 °C (94 à 50 °F).
Pendant la charge, le piles chauffe légèrement. Ceci est normal et
n’est pas l’indication d’un problème.
