The Sony PMW-10MD Full HD Medical Grade camera system
features a built-in HD recorder, which saves video and audio
into XDCAM EX MP4 files. Working with this file format on
your Mac computer usually requires a professional editing
application such as Final Cut Pro.
Calibrated Software realized many people want to work with
XDCAM EX MP4 files in a simpler application like iMovie. To
that end, the company developed Calibrated{Q} EX-Essentials,
an easy-to-use QuickTime component that allows XDCAM EX
MP4 files to be imported into iMovie without having Final Cut
Pro installed on your computer.
How Calibrated{Q} EX-Essentials works
Calibrated{Q} EX-Essentials is a QuickTime component (a type
of software plug-in) that enables iMovie to see and easily
import XDCAM EX MP4 files. As Calibrated{Q} EX-Essentials
works directly within iMovie, there’s no need to learn or use
an external application.
Calibrated{Q} EX-Essentials also works with Final Cut Express
