Thank you for choosing an hp accessory!
This HP accessory has been designed and manufactured using strict specifications to meet the highest HP quality standards.
With the HP cordless keyboard and mouse kit you will surpass the traditional limitations of the office environment. The HP
cordless keyboard and mouse kit enables efficiency, comfort, more flexibility and mobility within the workplace.
Please note the following points:
If your PC is running Windows 98 be sure
not
to disconnect your existing keyboard until the end of the software installation process.
If your PC is running Windows 2000, your HP cordless keyboard and mouse will not be configured by default to wake the PC from
standby or hibernate mode.
To enable your HP cordless keyboard and mouse to wake the PC:
1. Go to
Start
¨
Settings
¨
Control Panel
.
2. Double-click the
Keyboard
icon and select the
Hardware
tab.
3. Select
HID Keyboard Device
from the list then click
Properties
.
4. Select the
Power Management
tab then select the
Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby
box.
5. Finally, click
OK
and close all the windows.
After waking the PC from standby or hibernate mode, a short period of no more than 30 seconds is required to reload the drivers for
your HP cordless keyboard and mouse.
When using the HP Image Creation and Recovery CD to recover the system software, the cordless mouse may not function. If this is the
case, use the cordless keyboard (Tab key, arrows e.t.c) to select the options that launch the recovery process.
Alternatively, connect a PS/2 keyboard and mouse before starting the recovery process.
Once the recovery is complete, you can connect the cordless keyboard and mouse receiver, and install associated applications.
This limitation will be fixed in the next BIOS release. Information is available on the following HP support websites:
