CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
Humidifiers provide comfort by adding moisture to dry,
heated indoor air. To benefit most from the humidifier and
avoid product mis-use, follow all instructions carefully.
Please note that this is an electrical appliance and requires
attention when in use.
In addition, if you do not follow the recommended care and
maintenance guidelines, micro-organisms may be able to
grow in the water within the Water Tank. You must routinely
follow the cleaning procedures that follow in order to ensure
proper, efficient operation of your humidifier. Proper
maintenance and cleaning is essential to the continued
performance of your unit and the avoidance of algae or
bacteria build-up.
Daily Maintenance
1. Be sure the unit is OFF and is disconnected from the
electrical outlet.
2. Remove the housing and the tanks from the humidifier
and place them in sink or tub.
3. Carry the base of the unit to the sink, remove the wick
filter, place in sink, drain any remaining water and rinse
thoroughly to remove any sediment or dirt. Wipe clean,
and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Drain the water from the tanks into the sink and rinse
each tank thoroughly. Wipe clean, and dry with a clean
cloth or paper towel.
5. Put filter back in the filter supports, replace the housing,
then refill the tanks with cool tap water as instructed
earlier in the Filling Instructions. Do not overfill.
6. Follow Operating Instructions.
Weekly Maintenance
To Remove Scale:
1. Repeat steps 1-4 above.
2. Clean the base by partially filling the base with one 8-
oz cups of undiluted white vinegar, or by using
Cleanse Clean
®
(Model S1710) by the manufacturer.
Leave this solution in the base for 20 minutes, while
cleaning the all interior surfaces with a soft brush.
Remove base scale by wiping the base with a cloth
dampened with undiluted white vinegar.
3. Rinse with clean warm water to remove the cleaning
solution before disinfecting the tank.
To Disinfect Humidifier Base Tanks:
1. Fill Humidifier Base with 2 gallons of water and 1/2
teaspoon of chlorine bleach.
2. Fill each tank 1/2 full with water and 1 teaspoon of
chlorine bleach.
3. Let the solution stand for 20 minutes, swishing every
few minutes. Wet all surfaces.
4. Carefully empty the Base and Tanks after 20 minutes,
and rinse with water until you cannot detect any bleach
smell. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
5. Refill the water tanks as directed with cool tap water,
replace the humidifier housing, and turn the Control
Knob to ON.

SAVE THIS WARRANTY INFORMATION
A. This Warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this product.
B.This Warranty applies ONLY to repair or replacement of any supplied or manufactured parts of this product that, upon
inspection by JCS/THG, LLC authorized personnel, is shown to have failed in normal use due to defects in material or
workmanship. JCS/THG, LLC will determine whether to repair or replace the unit. This Warranty does not apply to
installation expenses.
C. Operating this unit under conditions other than those recommended or at voltages other than the voltage indicated on
the unit, or attempting to service or modify the unit, will render this WARRANTY VOID.
D.Unless otherwise proscribed by law, JCS/THG, LLC shall not be liable for any personal injury, property
or any incidental or consequential damage of any kind resulting from malfunctions, defects, misuse,
improper installation or alteration of this product.
E. All parts of this product excluding filters, which are covered under separate warranty, are guaranteed for a period of 2
years as follows:
1. Within the first 30 days from date of purchase, the store from which you purchased your product should replace this
product if it is defective in material or workmanship (provided the store has in-stock replacement.) If you intend to assert
any claim in connection with the product, please follow the instructions in paragraph F.
2. Within the first 24 months from date of purchase, JCS/THG, LLC will repair or replace the product if it is defective in
material or workmanship, subject to the conditions in paragraph G.
F. If you have any other problem or claim in connection with this product, please write to our Consumer Service Department.
G.IMPORTANT RETURN INSTRUCTIONS. Your Warranty depends on your following these instructions if you are returning the
unit to JCS/THG, LLC:
1. Carefully pack the item in its original carton or other suitable box to avoid damage in shipping.
2. Before packing your unit for return, be sure to enclose:
a) Your name, full address with zip code and telephone number,
b) A dated sales receipt or PROOF OF PURCHASE,
c) Your $20.00 check for return shipping and handling, and
d) The model number of the unit and the problem you are having. (Enclose in an envelope and tape directly to the
unit before the box is sealed.)
3. JCS/THG, LLC recommends you ship the package U.P.S. ground service for tracking purposes.
4. All shipping charges must be prepaid by you.

This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. The provisions of
this Warranty are in addition to, and not a modification of, or subtraction from, the statutory warranties and other rights and
remedies contained in any applicable legislation. To the extent that any provision of this Warranty is inconsistent with any
applicable law, such provision shall be deemed voided or amended, as necessary, to comply with such law.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
When not using your humidifier for an extended period of time:
1. Dispose of the filters. DO NOT leave in unit.
2. Clean, rinse and thoroughly dry the humidifier as directed in weekly maintenance. DO NOT leave any water in the unit
when storing. Leaving water in the unit may render the unit inoperable for the following season.
3. Place the humidifier in the original carton and store in a cool, dry place.
4. Order your replacement filter for next year’s use.

SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
1. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void the warranty.
2. If you have any questions regarding this unit’s operation or believe any repair is necessary, please write to our
Consumer Service Department.
3. If you need to exchange the unit, please return it in its original carton, with a sales receipt, to the store where you
purchased it. If you are returning the unit more than 30 days after the date of purchase, please see the enclosed
warranty.

INSTRUCCIONES DE LIMPIEZA Y
MANTENIMIENTO
Los humidificadores proveen confort agregando humedad al
aire seco de los ambientes interiores calefaccionados.
Para beneficiarse al máximo de los humidificadores y evitar
su mal uso, siga todas las instrucciones cuidadosamente.
Tenga en cuenta que éste es un artefacto eléctrico que
requiere atención cuando esté en uso.
Además, si no se siguen las recomendaciones para el
cuidado y mantenimiento, crecerán microorganismos en el
agua dentro de los tanques. Se deben ejecutar
rutinariamente los procedimientos de limpieza que se
indican a continuación para asegurar el funcionamiento
adecuado y eficiente del humidificador que son esenciales
para el rendimiento óptimo constante de la unidad y para
evitar la formación de algas y bacterias.
Mantenimiento diario
1. Asegúrese de apagar y desenchufar la unidad del
tomacorriente.
2. Desmonte el casco y los tanques del humidificador y
colóquelos en el fregadero o en la tina.
3. Lleve la base de la unidad al fregadero o a la tina,
quítele el filtro de mecha, coloque la base en el
fregadero, drene el agua remanente, enjeague
completamente para remover cualquier sedimento o
suciedad, limpie frotando con un paño y seque con una
toalla de tela o papel.
4. Drene el agua de los tanques en el fregadero y
enjuáguelos completamente. Límpielos frotando con un
paño y séquelos con una toalla de tela o de papel.
5. Vuelva a instalar el filtro, el caso y vuelva a llenar el
tanque con agua corriente como se indicó anteriormente
en las instrucciones para el llenado. No lo llene de más.
6. Siga las instrucciones de operación.
Mantenimiento semanal
Para extraer el sarro:
1. Repita los pasos 1 al 4 anteriores.
2. Limpie la base llenándola parcialmente con una taza de
250 ml (8 oz.) de vinagre blanco sin diluir o con Cleanse
Clean
®
(Modelo S1710). Deje reposar esta solución en
la base por 20 min. mientras limpia todas las superficies
interiores con un cepillo blando. Quite el sarro frotando
la base con un trapo humedecido con vinagre blanco sin
diluir.
3. Enjuague con agua tibia limpia para extraer la solución
limpiadora antes de desinfectar el tanque.
Para desinfectar la base y los tanques del
humidificador:
1. Llene la base del humidificador con 8 L. (2 galones) de
agua y 1/2 cucharadita de blanqueador de cloro.
2. Llene cada tanque hasta la mitad con agua y 1/2
cucharadita de blanqueador de cloro.
3. Deje que la solución trabaje por 20 minutos, sacudiendo
los tanques de vez en cuando. Moje todas las
superficies.
4. Vacíe cuidadosamente la base y los tanques después de
20 minutos y enjuague hasta que ya no se pueda
detectar el olor a cloro. Seque con una tela limpia o con
toalla de papel.
5. Vuelva a llenar el tanque con agua fría de la llave como
se indicó, reinstale el casco del humidificador y encienda
la unidad.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA GUARDAR
Cuando no se vaya a usar el humidificador por una larga temporada:
1. Deseche los filtros. NO los deje en la unidad.
2. Limpie/lave, enjuague y seque completamente el humidificador siguiendo las instrucciones del mantenimiento
semanal. No deje agua en la unidad cuando la almacene, porque hará que la unidad sea inoperable en la siguiente
temporada.
3. Coloque el humidificador en la caja original y guárdelo en un lugar fresco y seco.
4. Ordene un filtro de repuesto para el siguiente año.

1. NO intente reparar o ajustar ninguna función eléctrica o mecánica de esta unidad. Si lo hace, invalidará la garantía.
2. Si tuviese cualquier pregunta sobre la operación de esta unidad o considera que requiere alguna reparación, escríbale
a nuestro Dpto. de Servicios.
3. Si necesita cambiar la unidad, devuélvala en su caja original, con el recibo de compra, a la tienda donde la haya
comprado. Si devuelve la unidad más de 30 días después de la fecha de compra, vea la garantía adjunta.
4. Si tiene algún comentario o pregunta acerca del funcionamiento de la unidad, o cree que debe ser reparada, escriba a

o cualquier intento de reparación o modificación de la unidad, ANULARA LA GARANTIA.
D.A menos que la ley indique lo contrario, JCS/THG, LLC no será responsable por ningún daño personal, material
o cualquier daño incidental o indirecto de ningún tipo como resultado del mal funcionamiento, defecto, uso
inadecuado, instalación incorrecta o modificación de este producto.
E. Todas las partes de este producto, con excepción de los filtros, los cuales quedan cubiertos bajo otra garantía, están
garantizadas por un plazo de 2 año de la siguiente forma:
1. En el plazo de los 30 días a partir de la fecha de compra, la tienda donde ha comprado este producto lo reemplazará
en caso de presentar defectos de materiales o mano de obra (siempre que la tienda cuente con unidades disponibles).
Si planea efectuar una reclamación con relación a este producto, siga las instrucciones del punto F.
2. En el plazo de los 24 meses a partir de la fecha de compra, JCS/THG, LLC reparará o reemplazaráel producto en caso
de presentar defectos de materiales o mano de obra, sujeto a las condiciones del punto G.

G. IMPORTANTES INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA DEVOLUCION. Su garantía depende de como siga estas instrucciones al devolve

1. Empaque cuidadosamente el producto en su caja original u otra caja adecuada para evitar que se dañe durante el envío.
2. Antes de empacar su unidad para devolverla, asegúrese de incluir:
a) Su nombre, dirección completa con código postal y número de teléfono
b) Un recibo de compra fechado o COMPROBANTE DE COMPRA,
c) Un cheque por $20,00 (USD) para los gastos de envío, y
d) El número de modelo de la unidad y el problema que tiene. (Póngalo en un sobre y péguelo a la unidad antes de
cerrar la caja).
3. JCS/THG, LLC le recomienda enviar la unidad por medio del servicio terrestre de U.P.S para poder hacer el
seguimiento del transporte.
4. Usted debe pagar todos los gastos de envío por adelantado.
