piece of equipment.
Your AUDIOPLEX TECHNOLOGY(tm) IR BOOSTER is designed to boost the weak output of some
manufacturers systems. The IR BOOSTER has connections for up to three emitters, but up to six total
may be used by doubling up emitters. The small size of the IR BOOSTER makes it ideal for mounting in a
rack type system or even to the back of a piece of equipment.
CAUTION: take care to make sure that the IRTarget installation is NOT IN THE LINE OF SIGHT
OR REFLECTION with the blinker(tm) repeater. If radiation from the repeater is picked up by the sensor,
a feedback situation is created which will result in instability and unreliable operation. Undesirable
reflection can occur off light colored walls, windows, mirrors and even shiny wood finishes!
Follow the wiring diagram on the next page for installation of your IR BOOSTER. Prepare the wire
leads to and from the IR BOOSTER by stripping about 1/4" of insulation from each of the ends. Twist
strands tightly together so that none stick out to cause a possible short. Observe Polarity! The IR
BOOSTER has connections for five emitters. If you need more, double up emitters to the connectors for a
total of up to ten. When connections are complete, connect the supplied power supply to the power jack.
NOTE: Outputs must be connected directly to the emitters, with no other equipment in line or paralleled.
Your AUDIOPLEX TECHNOLOGY IR BOOSTER is covered by a ten year warranty against any
defects in workmanship and materials. Any defects will be remedied without charge for labor or parts
during this period of time following the date of purchase.
Damage incurred by shipping or accident is not considered to be a defect, and not covered by this
warranty. AUDIOPLEX TECHNOLOGY is not responsible for defective operation caused by abuse or by
modification or service by any unauthorized person or agency.
The unit must be properly installed and operated according to instructions for the warranty to
apply. Any necessary servicing must be done by AUDIOPLEX TECHNOLOGY. The product must be
returned expenses prepaid, with written authorization from the company. The product must be shipped
with the proof of purchase and in the original carton and packing material to avoid damage.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to
state.
