DSR KVM over IP Switches
for the Enterprise Data Center
Secure, Remote Management of Servers and Network Devices
DSR
®
KVM over IP switches provide IT professionals with an enterprise-class KVM over IP
solution for remote access and management of servers and network devices. DSR switches
enable BIOS-level control and power cycling of connected servers and serial-based devices, and
provide external modem support when the network is unavailable.
Administrators with access to the IP network can manage any device anywhere as if they were
physically present at the device, hastening response times, reducing downtime and increasing
IT efficiency and availability. For easy access and control of servers over IP, DSR switches
feature an on-board Web interface compatible with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
Virtual Media enables mapping local storage media to a remote server for file transfers,
application and OS patches and diagnostic testing via the On-Board Web Interface (OBWI) or
DSView
®
3 management software.
For expanding enterprises with growing numbers of users and target devices, deploying DSR
switches with DSView 3 management software provides a robust, scalable management
solution to centrally access and control all connected IT and network devices from a single,
consolidated user interface. DSView 3 software also provides secure access authentication, a
failover hub and spoke architecture, event notifications and access to IPMI-enabled servers.
Various models are available for enterprise environments, including 1-, 4-, 8-, 16- and 32-port
models with 1, 2, 4 or 8 digital paths for remote access.
