Water Filter Installation Instructions
Follow these simple instructions for your lter type.
1. Locate the lter head; in the upper right hand side of the refrigerator
compartment or in the machine compartment on built in refrigerator models.
2. During initial installation of the water lter, remove the bypass cap by a ¼ turn
counter clockwise, retain for later use. During replacement installation rotate
the used lter counter clockwise until it is released from the lter head. Twist
gently and do not pull. Note: there may be some water in the lter and some
spilling may occur.
3. Remove the new lter from the packaging. Remove the lter cap.
4. Lubricate the O-ring with food grade vegetable oil.
5. Line up the cartridge ears so it can be inserted into the lter head. Rotate the
lter cartridge ¼ turn clockwise.
6. Reduce water spurts by ushing air from the system. Run water continuously
for 4 gallons (approximately 5 minutes) through the dispenser until water runs
steady. Additional ushing may be required in some households where water is
of poor quality.
