Use & Care Guide
Care and Cleaning
To avoid electrical shock which can cause severe
personal injury or death, disconnect power to
refrigerator before cleaning. After cleaning,
reconnect power.
Cleaning the Outside
Legend Molded Polymer
Panel (Models 3065/3165)
Circuit breakers must be shut off before clean-
ing. Using a damp cloth and mild dishwashing
detergent, wipe surface lightly. Dry and polish with
a clean, soft cloth. Do not wipe panel with a soiled
dishcloth or wet towel, these may leave residue
that can erode the paint. Do not use scouring
pads, powdered cleaners, or bleach because
these products can scratch, and/or weaken the
paint. Wring excess water from sponge or cloth to
avoid excess moisture, especially when cleaning
in vicinity of switches, lights or controls.
Classic Painted / Nickel
plated surfaces
(Models 3015/ 3115)
Circuit breakers must be shut off before clean-
ing. Using a damp cloth and mild dishwashing
detergent, wipe surface lightly. Dry and polish with
a clean, soft cloth. Do not wipe panel with a soiled
dishcloth or wet towel, these may leave residue
that can erode the paint. Do not use scouring
pads, powdered cleaners, or bleach because
these products can scratch, and/or weaken the
paint. Wring excess water from sponge or cloth
to avoid excess moisture, especially when clean-
ing in vicinity of switches, lights or controls. Harsh
abrasives and cleaning powders are unnecessary
and should never be used. Nickel may be cleaned
with any non abrasive chrome and metal polish or
regular Windex and a soft cloth.
(Note: when using Windex, be sure to wipe it at
once, if left standing on the nickel surface some
etching and/or permanent streaking may occur) If
any acid based food or liquid, such as lemon juice or
tomato juice, is spilled on the refrigerator, wipe it at
once to prevent staining.
Door Gaskets (all models):
Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners. Do not use
metal or plastic-textured scouring pads. Use warm,
soapy water and a soft, clean cloth or sponge.
