On the main control panel (the panel on the front of the document camera), there are
several buttons labeled as follows:
INPUT/MAIN (or Camera): Use this to select the document camera as the source for
materials to be displayed on the projector. (In some rooms, labels have been affixed to the
control panel so MAIN may be labeled as CAMERA.)
INPUT/ RGB1 (or Laptop): Use this to select the laptop computer as the source for
materials to be displayed on the projector. The laptop needs to be connected to the
document camera using the
SVGA cable provided. (In some rooms, labels have been
affixed to the control panel so RGB1 may be labeled as LAPTOP.)
INPUT/ RGB2 (or Desktop): This is used in Conservation Auditorium to select the
desktop/Smart Sympodium, in Physics 114 and 126 to select the Dell desktop COMPUTER,
and may be used in other rooms to select a Macintosh or Windows desktop machine.
(In
some rooms, labels have been affixed to the control panel so
RGB2 may be labeled as DESKTOP.)
PAUSE: Use this to freeze an image on the screen. Depress again to unfreeze the image.
(During a presentation, it may be necessary to change the materials you are displaying
and this allows you to freeze the first image, change the materials, and then display the
next item.)
CLEAR MODE: Use this to reduce noise in the image projected by the document camera.
To exit, press the button again.
IRIS OPEN/CLOSE: Use these two buttons to control the brightness of the image when
auto iris is off. If the screen looks dark, press and hold the
OPEN button to open the iris
so more light reaches the screen. If the screen looks too bright, press and hold the CLOSE
button. (Auto Iris is off when the
AUTO/MANUAL indicator light is illuminated.)
